An adult, meanwhile, remains wanted in the case, according to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae.
On Tuesday July 6, the teenager was arrested by members of the Bridgeton Police Department and Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office. The juvenile was charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, obstruction, destruction of evidence, hindering apprehension and weapons offenses, Webb-McRae said.
The juvenile is in custody and the State will move for continued detention.
On June 25, at approximately 8:50 p.m., members of the Bridgeton Police Department responded to Mount Vernon Street for a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Police found a 16-year-old boy from Millville dead from an apparent gunshot wound, she said.
The first 16-year-old suspect was arrested on June 30.
Separately, on Thursday, July 6, Alavion Harris, 20, of Bridgeton was arrested in Jefferson City, Missouri by members of the Jefferson City Police Department.
Alavion Harris was charged with hindering apprehension and obstruction, Webb-McRae said.
Alavion Harris is incarcerated at the Cole County Jail in Jefferson City Missouri awaiting extradition to Cumberland County.
Nashaloni Harris, 21, of Bridgeton remains wanted for obstruction, destruction of evidence and hindering apprehension, Webb-McRae said.
